Vigilantes
They be outside my door – bayin’ for my blood
Wearing scary hoods – they got me surrounded
They want to string me up for crimes unspecified
They got me bang in their sights - want me crucified
Vigilantes – uppin’ the ante
Takin’ the law into their own hands
Vigilantes - evidence is scanty
And I ain’t never gonna agree to their demands
Outside the law I been honest - get things to work somehow
Someone be nosin’ ‘round my business that be a big problem now
What I done is what I done - I ain’t sayin’ I’m a snowflake
But this bustin’ my chops all the time is just ‘bout all I gonna take
Armed and dangerous and primed ready to kill
Today is the shoot-out - blood will be spilled
They got the urge to bring forth their own sort of rough justice
But every villain I know’s got have an accomplice
Vigilantes – wanna find someone guilty
Doesn’t matter who as long as they swing
Vigilantes – listen to them ranting
Outside my window in the troubled evening
There’s my neighbour dirty Tom and the weird guy down the road
There’s him from over the way – that untrustworthy slimy toad
Gonna make my exit live to fight another day
