J. Melody grew up listening to good music at a very early age. From Michael Jackson to Michael Bolton he embraced music not by the different genres, but by the way it made him feel. He started singing and dancing at a young age. Talent could clearly be seen and heard. Recently turning 20, J. Melody is a very focussed individual. He has decided to pursue a career in the music industry because he feels he can contribute to making good music. He does not limit himself by any means. He writes R&B, Rock, and Alternative Music. He feels that he has a lot to say and people who listen to his music can relate to his lyrics in every way. "When I write music, I tend to isolate myself and use situations I have experienced, and incorporate them in my music". How do you feel about Canadian R&B? "I feel that it is lacking creativity and proper songwriting development. Don’t get me wrong, we have some real talented artists up here, but some who are out right now have weaknesses which are very visible". J. Melody does not only sing, he raps, and models on the side. With very meaningful lyrics, catchy hooks, and a creative mind and sound for voicing smooth melodies. J. Melody is ready to hit the music industry by storm.
