The Stone cold to his touch
the acrid rain comes down
pierce through his skin.
He stares up to the sky
through the clouds
Searching for someone to blame
in tears
But all he finds is sorrow
makes his soul feel hollow
It's all in vain
Memories drift away
got to find another way
to hold on to his past
The shine is blinding
It numbs the pain
fighting back the visions
to remain sane
Waking from a dream state
reality strikes hard.
Blood falls to the earth
the shape of unborn life
comes through the light
The cry echoes in his head
he kneels in pain
the last link to this world is gone
away
And all he hears is sorrow
makes his soul feel hollow
it's all in vain
He tries hard to recall her scent
but he's unable to prevent
the receding of his past
Deprived of Love and hope, emotionally impaired.
To see the blinding light, each and every night he prayed.
He extends his hand, tries to touch her face
but he finds himself trapped in dark's embrace.
