Story behind the song
As a writer who loves playing poker I just knew there was a song in there somewhere.
Lyrics
Are You Up For A Little Texas Hold'em From Beaumont to El Paso, Texhoma down to Brownsville They deal out the finest lovin' in this land Those Texas girls know how to hold'em And play those pocket aces Sayin' "Cowboy here's the deal now play your hand" Are you up for a little Texas Hold'em Flop yourself down in that chair and talk to me That pocket pair I put you on may cause a lay down Show me that turn out on the dance floor and we'll see If you get lucky I'll lay it down by the river And cowboy I know you'll understand You've got the winnin' hands if you don't fo-o-old'em Are you up for a little Texas Hold'em Instrumental break If you're short stacked don't worry 'bout it cowboy Don't muck your chance those Texas girls can play it tight If she pushes you all in go ahead and call that bet She's made up her mind to win you tonight Chorus out (c) Wayne Brown & "Mo" Hyatt

Wayne, This is a cute song.. I really enjoyed the listen!! You're right about Bob Wills but I could hear quite a few others from the Southern area as well being it's so classic Country in style. Good song my friend!! And, thank you for adding "Summer Days " to your station. It was actually one of the first I ever recorded on my program which was a real pain in the*&T*^8 at the time. I am getting better at the machine.. Not like the old days of tape huh? You hang in there. Like I always say,, "To old to be a star-- to young to be a relic". That's me!! Take Care, BOB
