Varangian Guard's first song - a mix of power, thrash, death, black, and who knows what... pretty fun. Guitars were recorded with a PODxt, bass and drums were programmed (straight up Microsoft MIDI synth bi***es!)
Well this song is for my new band Varangian Guard, and the motivation was basically to write power metal that actually kicks ass and will tear your face off. I.e. a power/death hybrid. Well it's still a work in progress, but here's the first thing I've written towards that end.
