The 1st movement of my 1st string quartet. It is based on a one bar motif. This occurs first in D major, then modulates to B minor for a contrasting andante section.

The orginial one bar motif was composed in the local URC church during a practice on the organ there. The harmony for the first four bars was also developed there. This quartet is performed by a scratch quartet from Wells Cathedral School, and was recorded in the most recent composers concert.
