For over 40 years I played lead guitar and did back-up vocals in various country bands. It has been one of the greatest thrills of my life. But, these days I stay at home and compose songs, both lyrics and music. My writing style is much broader than just country music. I also write southern rock, a little blues, lots of smooth jazz and movie themes and even some latin music. I have been writing for about 20 years and hope to for quite a few more years.

Lyrics
I Remembered To Forget © 1982 Alan D. David, BMI All Rights Reserved (v1) This morning was a milestone on the road to coming back The road that leads my heart to being free I thought about the weather and what shirt I ought to wear But not once did you cross my memory (v2) Today I cashed my paycheck and paid off all my bills Then I stopped by the place where we first met You never even crossed my mind the whole time I was there Finally I remembered to forget (chorus) I remembered to forget the taste of your sweet lips And how your fingers felt running through my hair And I remembered to forget how I thought that I would die When I came home and found you weren't there (v3) I thought I'd never break the chains that locked you in my mind Or forget about the things we used to do But now I'm far from all the hurt I've felt since you've been gone 'Cause this morning I forgot to think of you Repeat chorus (Tag at end of 2nd chorus) Yes this morning I remembered to forget.
