Howdy Kids! Some of the tunes posted here are the result of collaborative efforts, but most were solo creations ;) Some are remixes of other's work and demos of other's software creations/tools...but all were created because they had to be. For some of us, music is a compulsion- much like breathing. Hope ya like the tunes- I did'em because they had to be done.

Story behind the song
I ran a drum loop thru this: 1st- In Anemic Naif set up some crazy preset and recorded various loops while I doctored the pitch parameter. I mixed the Naif affected sound (Anemic Naif>GHi>Sonalksis TBK3) with the original loop. Awesome chewy drums, man :tu: Once I got the sound where I wanted it, I ran both the Naif loops and original loop thru this chain: Ableton Gate>GHi>Sonalksis TBK3 I then took those loops and set them so that they would each play 3 1/16ths, then "hand off" to a random (3 in all) next loop (...meanwhile, all in sync) 2nd- I grabbed 12bars of the above described audio 3rd- I grabbed another 12bars as described above 4th- ran the 2nd 12bars thru Shuriken's CopyShop (while doing silly "buffer grab and shrink" things with the audio), grabbed 50 something measures of that... 5th- NOW- I have basically two tracks of audio that I used to create most of the noise that starts about 2:30 into the ditty. I set up the plain track and the copyshop'd track so that I could swap their places in the stereo field. 6th- the part you hear at the very beginning: the audio is ALL from Anemic Naif; no "input audio signal" (Anemic Naif>GHi>Ohmboyz>Sonalksis TBK3). I "played it" like an instrument that was tuned kinda to fourths...that was NOT by design, just happened that way. YOu'll probably hear exactly when I turned the drumloop input to Naif on. And from there, there's really no mistaking when I turned the other 2 loops on. once I had "made my materials" from your cool tool, I pretty much played the thing out in one take...I may be obvious ;P Once I had something I likes, I did do a wee bit of "mastering" as I find that madly spinning the pan knobs tends to throw phase out of whack esp when dealing with weird audio in the first place! I put this file back thru Ableton Live so I could use "PhasePhix" from ProgressAudio. that damn thing does NOT seem to want to work with any other DAW on my system. I've tried SF,Audacity, and Wavosaur (which is Very cool for a freebie DAW!) but none would play nice... I ran it thru Ableton, grabbed the entire piece from Benedict's PreRoll Recorder, and then put it thru Sound Forge and used some WaveArts stuff and Voxengo's Soniformer to take off the pointy places where you could put someone ear out!... I think it sounds as good as it's gonna get, but I certainly didn't worry with maximizing it. I don't expect anyone would want to hear this at too high a volume! I don't know how many folks can appreciate this sort of stream of consciousness audio blather from me, but it passed runagate's approval ;) hope you make it thru. I'll understand if not ;)
