Am I mad or are we really killing each other and children too? Is this a nightmare? If it is, please let us wake up soon.

Story behind the song
I wrote the song "Someone Elses's Bitter Tears" in 2005 after watching the live television broadcast of the "Shock and Awe" military operation during the Iraq war and all I could think of was the children and how they had to endure. Then I wrote "Children of Sudan" after seeing news footage of the horrors taking place in Rwanda and Sudan. I combined the two as a lament on behalf of all the world's children. The drawing of the "Starving Madonna Negra and the Horsemen of the Apocalypse" is from an image I had in a dream. The background loop recorded throughout the song is “Floating Two Dimensional” © 2002 by Peace Love Productions
Lyrics
Children of Sudan Roy-AL Hunt © May 26, 2007 MyFreeCopyright.com Registered & Protected I see you, I see your tears and my soul cries I hear you and my spirit reaches out to you You suffer oh children and I suffer too. I lay sweet grass at the hooves of the Horsemen that their steeds may stop to eat and that your suffering for a time, may cease. Whilst I implore, look you Horsemen, listen and hear, and you too will cry… ‘Someone Else’s Bitter Tears’ Someone Else’s Bitter Tears Roy-Al Hunt © June 13, 2006 MyFreeCopyright.com Registered & Protected I spend a lot of time wondering if I am out of my mind. Seeing things in places where nothing is I hear words never spoken into my ear And I cry someone else’s bitter tears I am deluged with images from half a world away of innocent children passing their day Sometimes it’s with sickness and despair At times there are bombs bursting in the air How can we expect them to in peace grow when all we offer up is the suffering they already know There have to be some changes made Don’t let them become those who hate This world is not one of their making All that there is to be given has already been taken I spend a lot of time wondering if I am out of my mind Seeing things in places where nothing really is I hear words never spoken into my ear And I cry someone else’s bitter tears
