Artist picture
Evan Paul is a very unique artist. His music is totally original, multi-genre, mostly acoustic, new age, easy listening, uplifting and spiritual.
I'm a Canadian songwriter musician and have recently released my first CD, "Spirits in the Sky". It's an instrumental, classical guitar album with sweeteners such as flute and strings. After decades of performing in various bands and as solo, I have finally settled on recording and writing, and only playing live ocasionally. Result, is a sweet, easy listening and spiritually uplifting work that defies any genre placement. It's pure acoustic and very melodic. Also, one will notice vocal songs and collaborations with various world artists. Presently, my latest CD "Eklektika" is active. It's one of the most original multi-genre instrumental album ever created. Unlike my previous, "Spirits in the Sky" collection, this one has percussion, a little more punch, but still retains that Evan Paul style of classical guitar playing. Enjoy!!!

Story behind the song
When I first went online with my music, I met a lot of friends of which one was John DeBoer. He is an amazing artist, with an incredible repertoire of songs in different genres, different instrumentations, he has lately settled into creating, playing and teaching the Native flute. He reviewed my "Spirits in the Sky" CD and I thought he hit it dead on (see review). I see him as a very spiritual leader so with my outmost respect for the Native culture, I dedicate this song to my friend, "John DeBoer". Please visit John and relax to the amazing Native flute.

Very nicely played Evan. It's funny you did this piece, as a band I was in, back in the early seventies, we did this song and had a cool rendition of this ourselves. Very nicely done and some nice added instrumentation. Enjoyed. Peace and Blessings, John

Hey Evan, incredible the number of songs which you made while I fought for a connection! Folk-pop is a large open door on creativity, unpluged stuff safeguarding human dimension. BROKEN ARROW is a beautiful fusion between acoustic guitar and traditional Indien rhythm, droped on CDBB' S station.;) Thanks so much for your appreciations on SAMBA POUR UN SOIR, i feel glad you like it. Keep the good work, congrats

Hi Evan, I loved the song ! I too love Native American culture. I was born in Arizona and grew up with it and it's always been a big part of my life. My house reflects the old west and the Indians. I also love westerns and as of right now I'm reading "The Frontersman" that B.J. talked about. We've had that book for over 25 years and I've never read it. My husband read it quite a long time ago and so far, it's really quite amazing. Once again, thank you for the new addition to your song list, it's absolutely wonderful. Joyce Clark
