Eclectic indie pop/rock featuring both male and female lead vocals.

Dawn's Darkness is a highly eclectic, original indie pop/rock project featuring both male (Dors Ward) and female (Jordana Kocher) lead vocals, founded in September 2007. The three songs featured in this first demo are penned by Jordana, but all the members of the band are lyricists or composers and much co-writing is expected in the future. We will be building our repertoire considerably with original songs spanning the genre of rock. Expect to hear everything from alt-rock and blues to epic rock and power ballads. We are currently searching for the right person to replace our talented lead guitarist, Erik Burch, as he must unfortunately return to Iraq with the National Guard early next year. We are also seeking a rhythm guitarist. Please contact us if interested.

Story behind the song

This was written for one of my best friends, who had just ended a long and very painful relationship. I hope he finds a woman who can love him in this way, because that is what he deserves.  A previous version was recorded with Jordana's last project, Pheonix Rising... but I believe it is even better as a duet.

Something interesting about this song: Guitarist Erik Burch used a Roland Guitar Synth to record three violin and one cello part.
