Say I’ll Never is a typical love song inspired by an officemate whom I fell in love with. Written in October 1996, it is a danceable love song that talks about a man’s promise never to give up his love. SONGWRITER'S PROFILE
Noel S. Ligutan is a part-time Health and Business Consultant in a Multi-Level Marketing Company. It was in 1994 when he stared writing songs and up to now finds the gift of songwriting truly amazing. A former member of Magnificat Choir in Mount Carmel Church, New Manila, Quezon City, his first musical influences are purely religious types of songs. Presently, his style of music is more experimental than ever, having been influenced by Elvis Presley, Rolling Stones, Incubus, Switchfoot and True Faith. One of his songs entitled Buti na Lang was a recipient of two awards—Best Original Song given by PDEA-Rock Concert Campaign Against illegal Drugs and 2nd Runner Up in the 2006 UP-JPIA Songwriting Competition. Together with this band called The Anwind , he feels so blessed for having TV and media exposures through the years. Most of Noel’s compositions convey messages of love, hope, destiny, humility, patience, caring and sharing.
BAND PROFILE
In June 2005, Pop Alternative band called The Anwind was formed. Performing is nothing new to this band for they have had a number of gig exposures in bars, TV Stations and other special events. They have guested in Jojo Alejar Show, RJ America Musicology Portion and when the show transferred to Qtv, and Hapi Hour Show hosted by Ramon Jacinto himself. They have participated in various band competitions namely Global Battle of the Bands and Redhorse Muziklaban. They have also performed as the front act to known bands and artists like Juana, Callalily, Danita, Verses Band and Paraluman. They were one of the bands featured in Energy FM’s event “Alay sa Manggagawa ng Alaxan” held in Riverbanks, Marikina on April 29, 2007, and was also a semi-finalist in Halo-Halo Songwriting and band Buffet Competition held in Tomas Morato on May 14, 2007. The Anwind continues to create beautiful music with the intention of making a mark in the industry even through simple ways.
