MORE OF YOU is a new and evolving group. It all started with John Davidson passionately pursuing God and being gifted with songs of worship from God. Although him and his wife own a construction company, his passion is music and living in the Psalms. The debut feaured Abbey Andrews a local extremely gifted and annointed singer/songwriter. We had almost 200 people at our opening concert. The power of God and His annointing was very strong. We believe that God has annointed this CD to bring peace and healing.

Story behind the song
At the time I wrote this song in October of 2006 I was attending a conference in Maryland as part of our association. Most of my life had been spent trying to grab and take the things of this world. I had spent a lot of my time trying to build a successful Business. Status and power were very important to me... Since a massive business collapse in 1999 that pulled both my business and our family into bankruptcy it had begun to dawn on me that meaning and purpose in life did not consist in what I did or said. It had to be something much deeper than that. In my pursuit for God, I now was beginning to understand that my purpose in life was to know God and make Him known. The more I knew Him and spent time in His presence through listening to Him and obeying His Word, the more natural it became to say, “Take my houses and lands all my dreams and all my plans.” It becomes a delight to give everything to the Lord. Like Moses, I had wasted so much time in the wilderness of life. I was tired doing my own thing and following my own way. My heart cried out. “Whatever it takes, Lord”. The only solution in life is to give our life to Christ. Lay it down at the cross because all other pursuits are a loss.
