MORE OF YOU is a new and evolving group. It all started with John Davidson passionately pursuing God and being gifted with songs of worship from God. Although him and his wife own a construction company, his passion is music and living in the Psalms. The debut feaured Abbey Andrews a local extremely gifted and annointed singer/songwriter. We had almost 200 people at our opening concert. The power of God and His annointing was very strong. We believe that God has annointed this CD to bring peace and healing.

Story behind the song
It was now more than three months into this incredible journey of pursuing God in my life. We were now more than two months past the 40 days, but the time was so exquisite that I time in Gods presence now had become the most important thing in my life. My wife approached me one night and said, “Honey why you don’t write a song about life and related it how music is made. Our life is to be like a harmony and a symphony. My wife is always laying her life down for others whether it is me, the children or others. Here selfless devotion to God and others was the inspiration for this song. I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning . The next morning when my wife heard the song, she started crying. On a humorous note I had another chorus that I had designed for this song. It went like this, “Bubbling, bubbling, bubbling in the Lord. Bubbling with peace. For you have lifted up my head I now stand tall in your grace. She stopped crying though at the chorus. “That is not going to work, you need to talk about the fruits of the Sprit,” So the chorus was changed to “Love, Joy, Peace in the Lord Your goodness and kindness revealed, for you have lifted up my head, I now stand tall in your grace.” Its amazing how relationship with God gives you dignity. The more you yield to God and give Him your life the more you start to lift your head and stand tall in God’s grace.
