Pass the Jug around Square Dance
Just a bit of jammin fun with the Limber Twig Band
Just a Lyric writer
Hi I'm Noel and I write poetry, ballads, and lyrics. The songs here are collaborations I've taken part in. I mostly either only write the lyric or collaborate on the lyric but occasionally I will do a melody too.
If you are interested in using any of the songs here, please feel free to contact me.
I am also looking for songwriters who are interested in my kind of lyrics to collaborate with.
Story behind the song
Bill started this great little fiddle lick and Bobby chimed in with the banjo, the lyric sorta just followed and then I picked up the ol wobble and gave it a shake... and we had a little song happening
Lyrics
Pass the jug around one more time!
Bill and Bobby in their rockers were doing their thing,
Haz at the base was a plunking them strings,
Noel’s wobble board was a wonking over near the shine.
Bill A holding down a stool was left of centre
Said I think we’re sounding a little better,
But we should pass the jug around one more time.
Yeah pass the jug around by the left,
No naked flames that’s no jest.
And we’re all starting to feel fine,
Once more back right you know what to do
We’ll give this tune another run through,
Then pass the jug around one more time!
So Bobby plucked the strings on his custom made bantar
Bill was a sawing in a regular canter,
Bill A was a sliding his glass across the steel
While Haz was a plunking, Noel was a wonking
It is a fair bet neither could see nuthing,
And their grins did nothing for their sex appeal
Right fore finger through that hole,
Push up the base with the right elbow,
Chugg a lugg a decent swallow down
By now Bill’s eyes were getting glassy,
Bobby’s wife yelled out you’re sounding nasty
Must be time for another round.
Yeah pass the jug around by the left,
No naked flames that’s no jest.
And we’re all starting to feel fine,
Once more back right you know what to do
We’ll give this tune another run through,
Then pass the jug around one more time!
Once more around you know what to do
We’ll give this tune another run through,
Then pass the jug around one more time!
