Title The @!4U! Soap Purpose The purpose of this soap is for bad kids with a bad tongue. Our company is not based on soap sales we are more about the discipline of the children. We believe swearing is a definite NO and has no benefits anywhere in life, well unless your Ozzy Ousborne and your making millions off of it otherwise it should NOT be tolerated. So with the soap's purpose being mainly making the kid sick to his/her stomach this should not sell well, but that's not the main purpose with this soap. Materials The materials used are - vegetable oil - water - Ethanol - heating pad - safety glasses - glass container (mL) - Stirring stick Procedure The procedure in which we made the soap goes as follows. I started off the same way as everybody else and that’s by putting on my safety glasses. Then I grabbed narrow containers from the back and measured 8 mL of vegetable oil and another container with 8 mL of ethanol. I poured both containers into a larger container. And then I placed it over the heating pad which I put on at 130 degrees. As the container is heating I continuously stirred the soap (liquid) with a stirring stick. After it began to bubble I stirred more until the soap (liquid) became thicker. Then I took the soap off the heating pad and then grabbed another container and filled it with a small amount of water. I then put the container on the heating pad. Observations - When mixing the oil and PH the color of the substance changed. - I noticed that when the soap began to heat up at a high temperature there was bubbles forming. - A little while after the soap (in a liquid form) started forming. - After stirring it for a long period of time the liquid (soap) got thicker. - When i entered the room the next day the soap was alot thicker and it was harder to mold - The food colouring changed the colour of the soap. -When i did the bubble test alot of bubbles formed. - When i did the PH test my soap received a 9 Conclusion In conclusion. The soap turned out well overall, It wasn't as thick as i'd liked it to but you could still tell it was a soap. The procedure was pretty straight forward, not too difficult but, stirring the soap when it was in a liquid state was becoming a pain after a while. I think it turned out well considering I did it by myself.
