Pretty standard heavy rock. The first song I recorded and I learnt a lot doing it, but it's pretty rough in places. Nice organ solo though...
Just little ol' me - writing and recording heavy/progressive rock for the sheer fun of it!
, , and . . It's an odd choice, I know, but I've been using it for so long I'm just so damn used to it. Drum parts are worked out carefully on my kit, then painstakingly programmed in as MIDI data. Keyboards (where present) are done in a similar way. I'm not good enough at either to consider recording them direct. Bass, guitars and vocals are recorded through my TonePort straight into the PC. I use and a pile of free VSTs to knit it all together and it all sounds decent enough under the circumstances. Cheap and easy!

Story behind the song
Music: Written back in '98, something a little different from my usual proggy stuff. Nice and simple and fun to play. Lyrics: Deeply personal lyrics - a peak into the inner psyche of a failed rock star turned happy father-of-two stuck in a dead-end job that pays the bills. Recording: First song I recorded and it sounds it! The performance is pretty good, but not great. The vocals really do let it down though - I'm just not the singer I'd like to be. I will almost certainly re-record this at some point...
