RETRO pop songs --- from another millennium and another galaxy.
My name's Pete. from Birmingham in UK-land. Nice to meet you ! I made a lot of very varied popsongs in the pre-digital age. I say they're McCartneyish, as I don't know how to categorize them. Allsorts. The description I use is RETRO I'm really a songwriter who wants others to perform these songs. So please bear that in mind as you grimace at my efforts to be acceptable. I'm especially concerned to write good lyrics, and if you do ever give some time to my stuff, I hope you will click to the lyrics and read those also. They don't come easy, you know. I'm plonking my songs here to give them a home, in the hope you might think they're not too bad. In fact, in the hope that you'll snap them up and I'll become an instant overnight megastar multi-millionaire. But failing that, I hope that you just like them. I had the title and thought it would extol flowers and blue skies. Instead I found what came out was an intense concentration on the mere fact that I am something able to experience - full stop (usaic 'period')

amidst the miracles of life and observation and in the myriad enchantments that abound I count myself as one who's blessed with fascination to be aware of all the happenings around when the gifted world demands attention when my thinking cells are all engrossed when my faculties contrive to realise that I'm alive Sweet Existence is the thing that I treasure most within the realms of purely physical restrictions within constraints that keep me bodily confined I feel myself released and free from all constrictions when I can exercise the freedom of my mind life's a special party and occasion feelings are my guests and I their host to understand here in my head when cogent words are being said Sweet Existence is the thing that I treasure most just to be endowed with self-awareness some would use the term a soul or ghost call it whatever name you choose - it can deliberate and muse Sweet Existence is the thing that I treasure most you have a sense of place and time, of worth and value and there's an ethical dimension that inspires you have no need to lie in ignorance, nor shall you when you have consciousness to guide you through the mires yes I feel I'm blessed with precious senses if you were to press, then I would boast I have the gift to understand to let ideas be weighed and scanned Sweet Existence is the thing that I treasure most
