The musician I sound most similar to is James Taylor, but Pink Floyd has had the most influence on my lyrics and music.
I got into music by listening to Pink Floyd, Billy Joel and other '60's and '70's people. I have been songwriting for 14 years and live in Jackson, TN (between Nashville and Memphis).

Lyrics
It’s been many years since I spoke to you But I can’t help thinking back sometimes To those sunlit days when life was new Before I discovered how to lie And now these days life seems so worn and thin And I sometimes doubt that I can make it I find my thoughts drifting back to you Hoping you’re on the road less taken Tell me you’ve found a way You’re doing well today So that I can face tomorrow Here in the cold I am slowly growing old Feel darkness closing in on me And as my hair turns gray if I’m not to fade away I’ve got to know how to succeed Tell me you’ve found a way You’re doing well today Have you overcome the sorrow?
