This a rough draft scratch demo. Live Band.
Singer/songwriter is all that Roxy Cain every really wanted to be. Writing poetry is something that she did from around the age of 7 or 8. Singing and writing her own songs was something she did almost unconsciously because of the regularity of music playing in her home and watching her father play his guitar, write songs, short stories and poetry from the time she could remember. Her love of all kinds of music explains her passion for r&b, pop, blues, jazz and more. Her father, who was a musician/radio disk jockey and later became news director for the same local radio station, was the source of her appetite for any kind of writing and/or entertainment. Roxy’s soultry vocals infiltrate the soul and creates music from an emotional palette that is as relevant as it is entertaining. By age 15 she was performing with several local bands as a regular performer in nightclubs, parties, hotels and on talent shows. "Music impacts lives and I want to stir emotions in people the same way that it stir emotions in me. I always wanted to make people think when they hear me sing, especially when they hear songs that I WRITE." In no other business are truisms like, “get your foot in the door,” and “you need to know people,” so significant- they're true..but it isn’t stopping Roxy Cain from trying to make a name for herself.
