Story behind the song
A song describing the inner turmoil of a daughters thoughts towards her mother who suffered from Schizophrenia. Perhaps its a plea for her mothers freedom? Looking for hope that her mother may change one day and experience a personal freedom from the voices. It is also a recount of the effects of shock treatment in the seventies and how it causes people to become zombie like, as described in the chorus and second verse.
