Story behind the song
The title is Gaelic for 'Black Rocks' as this was the name of the place on a Scottish Island where I was sitting when I wrote the song.
Lyrics
Sit and watch the evening tide draw near Sense of time it disappears Among the shifting sands Ghost like memories seem to come and go Lost among the ebb and flow You watch the setting sun Chorus Thoughts that hold you in the darkness Dreams you can’t leave behind The image that lingers from that last kiss Can never fade from your mind Still thinking of that love once known Now you sit here all alone Beneath the clear night sky Still thinking about the words she said As you toss and turn in an empty bed Struggle against the night Chorus Inst Chorus The 4 am ghosts they return once more Into your dreams they pour Will the haunting never end
