Jim Cook and the TaylorMACs have been recording since the year 2000, and have produced three albums. The first being "Keeping it Country", a 12 song album of original songs written by Jim Cook, Ray Cook, and Taylor McKinnon. The Band Plays regularly at local VFW Posts and American Legion Posts, as well as local dance halls such as the "silver spur". Records are offered for sale on CD Baby.com, and Jetspeedrecords.com as well as statuerecords.com and Tricopolisrecords.com The music is hard core traditional country. Lead guitar player is the great Jerry Swallow. Jim Cook sings all the original somgs. Steel guitar is by Ken Curtis, formerly with the "sons of the pioneers".

Story behind the song
During the Viet Nam mistake, there was a joke about how much the american GI hated Robert Mac Namara, versus how much the vietnamese counterpoint hated his leadership. This song is based upon that joke.
