Im John Dawson and Ima singer/songwriter representing tha 7 cities of VA. I started writing when I was about 9 yrs. old. I started writing poems and that gradually evolved into songs and songwriting. Most of my songs are about real-life situations or personal feelings that alot of people can feel so I try to write a song based on a personal feeling or opinion about a situation.

Story behind the song
I wrote this song in order to pay homage to two individuals that keep me grounded. After I lost my grandparents, I had to keep on tha right path cuz I knew that I coulda easily given up on life, naw sayin? This song is basically for people who find it hard to stay on tha right path.
