For over 40 years I played lead guitar and did back-up vocals in various country bands. It has been one of the greatest thrills of my life. But, these days I stay at home and compose songs, both lyrics and music. My writing style is much broader than just country music. I also write southern rock, a little blues, lots of smooth jazz and movie themes and even some latin music. I have been writing for about 20 years and hope to for quite a few more years.

Story behind the song
You'll have to ask Diane. I just added a few touches for her.
Lyrics
Diane wrote most of the lyrics for this. I just added a few words and gave it some music. A Little Bit In Heaven (v1) There's a little bit of angel dust That follows at your feet. It glows just like a full moon does at night The first time I set eyes on you When I passed you on the street, My heart grew wings and suddenly took flight (v2) Each time you speak my world is still. There's nothing else I hear. My ears work better than my foolish mouth. Although I have rehearsed the lines, they always disappear. Cos when I try the words just won’t come out (Chorus) I don't know how to say it. I'm not sure about the words. Cos they sometimes bend In all directions when they're heard. I'll try to keep it simple So it won't sound insincere. I'm a little bit in Heaven Every time you're near. (Bridge) Next time we meet, and I hope it's soon I'll have to let you know, That somewhere ‘tween the sun and moon, There’s a heart you set aglow (Chorus) I don't know how to say it. I'm not sure about the words. Cos they sometimes bend in all directions when they're heard. I'll try to keep it simple so it won't sound insincere. I'm a little bit in Heaven Every time you're near. Yes, I’m a little bit in Heaven Every time you’re near. © September 2005/Revised July 2007 Diane Ewing and Alan D. David, BMI All Rights Reserved
