The hot summer night was still, breezes at the window shifted with tacit expressions. My mind wandered, sleepless, as the blood in my body floated slowly and steadily in the state of asleep. I was dreaming. It was a dream, i knew it was, I could hear the strokes of clockwork tinkling above my head.But was it really? The Vivid image appeared about me wiped out any implausibility of unreality. I was now standing beside a streetlight that stretched skywards, bending its neck to cross the road. People clustered and scattered about the street like pins being smashed by a bowling ball. By glimpse I caught a familiar figure. Before I could get a clear sight of her, she scuttled away. I attempted to run after, but my feet were rigid. Floundering to move my torpid feet, I inched like a snail. She was getting farther away and gradually waning into a tiny spot. She plunged into the crowd and left my eyes. I stopped. I closed my eyes to mollify myself. When I reopen my eyes, I saw the same grey ceiling I saw every morning.
