According to Islamic theology the first created thing God Commanded to be was a very specialized light, that evolved into the Human soul, which was blown into the human form, the very best mold. That light was given intellect, reason, and the ability to differentiate, and discern, that which illuminates, from that which does burn.
Accompanying the angelic faculty of intellect, humankind was blessed with the power to scrutinize and inspect, internalize and reflect, analyze, and accept or reject, and then deliberately select from a variety of alternatives. Human beings possess the capacity and freedom of will to resolve any dilemma involving a decision between conflicting or similar options with intellect at the helm. No such options are posed in The Angelic Realm. God chooses for Angels and Angels obey. God’s Will Is Their Bread; God’s Pleasure, Their Pay.
But as mankind discovered after The Evil One fixed his gaze upon human innocence, free will, and Choices does not come without consequence. What happens when a soul jumps The Common Sense Fence, and picks the ultimately wrong preference? Remember, there’s a distinct difference between being enlightened and being “lit up,” that is to say, ”burned.” Since we have the ability to discern, we’re bound to stay on the right side of The Common Sense Fence, for on the other side of that fence looms serious consequence. CHOICE.

Although mankind has the propensity, to rise higher than angels, man’s physical density and animal desires conspires against common sense. Common Sense tells us we want to be better than angels on the day that we die. But the fire of desire prefers freedom to innocence, and with common sense it does vie. The taste, the touch, the tempting smell, then vanity of ego moves to quell all trepidation of ill health, social degradation and ultimate everlasting damnation in hell.
Satan enters at will into a soul that’s irreverently unguarded. An unguarded mind is spiritually retarded. It’s growth is stunted. Sharp wits be blunted. The weakest prey is the one that gets got when hunted. Without God’s Guidance foolishness be growin. In fertile ground for Satan’s notions to be easily sowed in. Not even knowing what’s right from wrong. A defenseless lazy person can’t stop from doing wrong.
Ignorance, laziness, and lust, go hand in hand with arrogance leading man down the yellow brick road to mediocrity and further on to perdition. Souls suffering from an ethnically arrogant condition automatically scoff at the concept of absolute submission. The Human tendency is to want to be ultimately free to pursue any desire, disbelieving that the gross, evil passions becomes hell’s punishing fire.
The Christians believe that they are freed from the possibility of punishment if they believe in what Muslims believe is a gross overstatement.
