RETRO pop songs --- from another millennium and another galaxy.
My name's Pete. from Birmingham in UK-land. Nice to meet you ! I made a lot of very varied popsongs in the pre-digital age. I say they're McCartneyish, as I don't know how to categorize them. Allsorts. The description I use is RETRO I'm really a songwriter who wants others to perform these songs. So please bear that in mind as you grimace at my efforts to be acceptable. I'm especially concerned to write good lyrics, and if you do ever give some time to my stuff, I hope you will click to the lyrics and read those also. They don't come easy, you know. I'm plonking my songs here to give them a home, in the hope you might think they're not too bad. In fact, in the hope that you'll snap them up and I'll become an instant overnight megastar multi-millionaire. But failing that, I hope that you just like them. And if you do like one - I'd especially like it if you told me so. We all need strokes, eh ? Cheers ! Pete Songs-in-a-Bottle

Lyrics
you drew me to your deadly den all shining like a beacon I stepped onto the thread and then I felt my senses weaken you lured me to your spider's web you drove me to distraction you caught me in your spider's web a victim of attraction the gleaming light in droplet spheres enticing and inviting deceptively assuaging fears hypnotically delighting so silently you lay in lurk to snare the one you'd chosen you made your move and went to work one look and I was frozen how could a mere mortal resist the sheer allure and seductiveness of the prize ? I should have realised exactly what your plan was the moment that I saw those shiny pearls of dew hanging like somniferous stars on your spider's web, put there to trick, to tease, to tempt, to titillate, to taunt, to trap, to titivate and tantalise with consummate ability you reached for me and touched me inducing immobility you tighteningly clutched me you chequered and checkmated me defeating all endeavour you trounced and subjugated me - your loving slave forever how could a mere mortal resist the sheer allure of the prize ? I should have realised exactly what your plan was the moment that I saw those shiny pearls of dew hanging like somniferous stars on your spider's web, put there to trick, to tease, to tempt and titillate, to taunt and titivate, to trap and tantalise
