Fremont John plays Taylor acoustic guitars. Check out his CDs Timeline, Acoustic Thunder and Lightning Strikes the Bull. For fans of ,
A strong, versatile voice (think Jonny Lang or, Rob Thomas) and very clean, melodic guitar style (think acoustic Santana meets Craig Chaquico ) are Fremont's magic . Whether an original work or a cover song, John makes it his own. His style and killer sound make him a standout in a crowded field.

Story behind the song
I wrote this song to myself when I was pondering the changes I'd made in my life to persue my dream in music. I realized I had made the right decision because time would one day, run out. But, I didn't want the song to seem so personal and I shifted and wrote it to an imaginery person, a female who wanted to dance.
Lyrics
TIMELINE by Fremont John Ashton @2003 CD: TIMELINE So, you say you want to be a dancer. You tell me that has always been your dream. But you say you don't like taking chances. So, you contrive some easy scheme To justify an empty life. You take those pills to ease your strife. Oh yeah, yeah You are living on a Timeline With no time-outs, no time-ins. Not like those games you play with children You start this game and then you play Until it ends. Oh yeah, until it ends. Uh-huh, until it ends. So, live your dream, go be that dancer. If that's who you are you soon will see. Take the risk be its' romancer Go out and be who you need to be. Don't give a thought to what they say. Don't let 'em have another day. You are living on a Timeline With no time-outs, no time-ins. What good's this life that you've been building If it only leads into dead-ends. Into dead-ends, oh yeah into dead-ends. Maybe you'll never hit the big-time. Maybe you won't find fortune or fame. But you're on this Earth for just a short while And you have to play to win the game. Go on get out there while you can. And, give 'em hell when you dance. You are living on a Timeline With no time-outs, no time-ins. What good's this life that you've been building If it only leads into dead-ends. Into dead-ends, oh yeah into dead-ends. You are living on a Timeline With no time-outs, no time-ins. Not like those games you play with children You start this game and then you play Yeah, you play. Oh you play....until it ends.
