Since receiving his first guitar at age 12 (a 1965 Silvertone) Ryan has been writing and playing music for his personal enjoyment for more than 30 years. After years of putting his music on assorted cassettes (and a 8 year layoff to take care of career and kids) Ryan put Pro Tools on an old computer in the back bedroom and began writing, playing and recording music again. It's a life-long hobby for him. Ryan plays guitar, bass and keyboards and uses a drum machine for the beats.

Story behind the song
This song was inspired by Beatle music circa 1964/65. I picked up a newspaper and told my self I would use the first letters that were chords that I saw, I would use to write a song. So it starts off D G D A Bm E because those letters were used in a random headline. Then I sprinkled in some influence from I Want to Hold Your Hand and I'm Looking Over My Four Leaf Clover. I did the music first and called the tune Ride of My Life after an article on Bruce Willis in Parade Magazine. But, I struggled with the lyrics because I was trying to make them too deep. I scratched that page out of my book and then just went with something simple. Listening to the playback of the instrumental in my headphones I kept hearing the words "honey honey" so decided to make that the chorus. Now, I'm ready to share it with you.
