I have recorded music over many years and everything I have ever done has been of an experimental nature. I used to gather musicians together and would sing a melody or riff to them, tell each person what instrument to play and record each track through a tiny 8 track mixer in one take straight onto cassette in an old music centre. No professional equipment, each song played once only, then move straight on to the next one. Each session would produce about 45 minutes of music (half a D90!). The band members were never constant, though the bass player and keyboard/rhythm guitarist showed up at most sessions. Now, things have gone solo. Although I directed proceedings and had all the ideas, I could not play an instrument and still can't. Now I construct tracks with my one finger keyboard skills. (I'm not kidding!)

Story behind the song
Looking back at teenage years...
Lyrics
Days of liquid gold are gone Days of riding the bus alone Teenage hang-ups and futile dreams Lost in a world of plasma screens. Nobody ever lost a love like me Ever held a love and let it go free? From the tempest of youthful time I've learnt how to fall and never climb.
