This piece takes advantage of the homogenous sounds made possible by the timbral similarities in the brass quintet to create minimal textures. The piece is clearly tonal, but dissonance is nearly always present, casting a varied degree of shadow.

I am a composer of contemporary classical music, as well as a producer of various types of electronic and jazz musics. Aesthetically, I enjoy experimenting with minimal textures in conjunction with fleeting tonality and coloristic settings. Panned Ghosts is my most significant experiment to date in the synthesis of electronic and classical musics.

give me two hundred of these, and I'll pick the best 12 to make an album... and I'll edit if I have to, if there are a dearth of quality moments! I'm not one to create harmony or dissonance for their own sake, they are tools to serve a higher purpose, which is missing in this piece...
