Story behind the song
This was the first song written out of the ten on the CD "A Simple Life". This was written from around 9AM - 9:30AM just before an afternoon gig in Detroit at a sandwich shop.
Lyrics
Walking down this winding road called life Staring up ahead But I just wanna look down It's easier to keep staring at the ground Feels good to bring me back again to the reality that I see When my world starts breaking down You'll find me on my knees (Chorus) I'll always find you there Where you wanted me to be To breath the air and feel alive I know You're listening I'll ask the questions that I can Just keep showing me the one's that I don't know to ask No I don't understand How a little faith can move a mountain Well I'm just a grain of sand When You're looking at my problems And put 'em in Your hands (Repeat Chorus) (Bridge) I can see the light coming over The edge of the sky And in the distance I'm looking at my brand new day I sometimes wonder how I forget to take this time To breath the air and feel alive I know you're listening (Chorus 2) I'll always find you there Where you want me to be To breath the air and feel alive I know you're listening (Repeat Chorus 2) And I'll be there I'll be there Yeah I'll be there
