Story behind the song
Blacks are the largest consumers in America. As a whole we buy more than any group of individuals in the country. This would be great if the ratio of ownership was at the same level. The unfortunate thing is we buy more but own less. I wouldn't say this if I felt we couldnt fix it. Recently the company BET (Black Entertainment Television) was sold to a larger company (Viacom) for a large amount of money. Most would think this was a great thing, but this is the exact thing that takes control and ownership away form our culture. Hip-Hop is the last frontier. Its the only thing we have that no one else has given us. Many companys at this point our making big attempts to get a hold on hip-hop but we cant let that happen. This is our's!
