AN INTERVIEW WITH GEECHY BOI: "...Its so easy for you to say something about me when you don't know who am If you knew the person I am you would know that I'm for real Well evidently there's something about me that attracts you to me I see your lips moving and not a damn thing coming out Naw you don't know me but your ass still thinks you do But just know this... the bottom line is... when that time comes round I'm gonna say what I feel... so fuck it... fuck you." 2nd Generation Dungeon Family, Infinique aka Geechy Boi (The Dungeon Dragon). Q: How did you get choose the name Infinique? I was first called Cack a Lacki... Looked up in the dictionary infinite which is never ending so if i were to die my music lives on... unique is the way I rap no big words are needed my words are used in a different way its not just about me saying the words but how I say the words. Q: You're also known as Geechy Boi, please explain where this name comes from and why the two names? I was born in the deep dirty of Orangeburg South Carolina where the slang from the backwood is known as Geechy... thus the name Geechy Boi Infinique is the name I took while incarcerated... it's a name like no other. Infinique was the more humble side... then Geechy Boi took over... Geechy Boi is the rough side... for example Geechy might say " I'ma whoop yo ass... and mean that shit. Q: Any special moments in your career you'd like to share? My whole damn career has been a special moment... I'm that gold mine... I've been looked over so far... but god gave me this talent. Folks fail to realize how much I've had to humble myself... I would more than die for this shit. Every moment... like I said... is special moment in my career. Q: What were some of your favorite venues? In Chattanooga TN; opening act for the Ludacris concert. Level 3 ATL GA; The album release for Da Connect. An outside show in Tuckaseegee Alabama... I did the outside venue and got much LOVE, then in the same damn day got booed off stage by the same crowd who had just showed love at the outside show... aint that some shit. Q: Who are your musical influences and why? My influences came from my mom old school Al Green, Otis Redding... From my day Tu Pac... I feel like he's yellin it from the grave... thug life... it's about time Who else can I follow... nobody else is writing about nothing I know and everybody knows hip hop done went on the sell out. We started a lot of shit we dont have control of... if I ever get through this Laffy Taffy Bootylicious shit... its a wrap. Don't ever let me get my foot through the door... if you do... it's over. Q: Describe your style of music? I got names for my style of music... slavory reality love pain abortion websters dictionary Q: Tell us about your association with Dungeon Family/ Organized Noize and what it has meant to your career? It was a great experience working with Dungeon... it's all about family for real... I can call the limb of the tree or the core of the tree... it's legendary and the legend will live forever and I am blessed to be a part of that history... I have to admit though... I still wish I had been with Dungeon when Goodie Mob was poppin. Q: Is there anything else you'd like to say... call it death row? I call out to all black people on death row... yeah... we're all on death row and been on death row for 400 years... everything thats been invented belongs to the credit of the black race... some folks say you can't always blame the white race... but we lost ours through the white race taking from us... our ideas were snatched from us... we should have had a black president by now... hell, in other countries... this would not be a problem... and the reason why the U.S. controls this... it's a white mans world... that new world order where you think you got this and you got that ... but that new world order will make us like that clone all one and the same and we all got a number right?... but look at this shit... a fuckin terrorist can blow it all down... think about it... we really been slippin for a long damn time ... and it's deeper than Bush.
