Story behind the song
This time of year a whole bunch of happy summer songs are being produced in the cabins. This is my somewhat philosophical contribution. Please let me know if you find the words/grammar odd as I was not 100% certain at all places, english is _not_ my native language.
Lyrics
Driving home alone at night along an empty road Meter steady at 90 and the midnight sun in my eyes Radio plays silently as I drive on through the night Past hilly terrain and steamy moors with nobody in sight Stop my car at a parking lot close to devils cleft Step outside to feel the air chilly and fresh in my lungs Radio plays "we were born to run" as I watch the scenery Sit on the hood for a while, mosquitos hum a song for me... Sitting on the hood with my face against the sun Blinding my eyes completely but still it doesn't warm me Step into the car again, hit the engine, let it run Shift the gear, pull out on the road to continue my drive through the night Driving past hilly terrain, past steamy moors and swamps Through sudden showers, clouds of bugs as I continue my drive through the night
