Honest Good Time Rock & Roll
The music of Vortexan is generated by two guys who met back in high school. Michael Marks and Rod Brinkley graduated from the West Texas town of Monahans in 1972. We started our musical journey at that time and continue today. Although "Vortexan" is my handle in forums - when it comes to the music, there are two of us. I play all the guitars and do the vocals, Rod Brinkley handles the drumming on his Roland V-Drums.

Lyrics
Mr. Weatherby Copyright Michael C. Marks Storm brewing in the Gulf of Mexico Headed for the Texas coastline People everywhere getting out of dodge While they still have time Traffic outbound 4 lanes wide They’ve declared it an emergency Anyone with any sense would get out now But brother that ain’t me My windows boarded up And my shotgun by my side I’m stocked up and loaded Fearing nothing but the rising tide Lead break Rats in the bayous, snakes in the grass Looking for an opportunity Don’t come around here unless you want a little taste Of Mr. Weatherby I’ve seen ‘em on the corner, hanging out A gang of thug wannabe’s If I was to leave in a minute flat They’d have my plasma TV My windows boarded up And my shotgun by my side I’m stocked up and loaded Fearing nothing but the rising tide Storm brewing in the Gulf of Mexico Headed for the Texas coastline People everywhere getting out of dodge While they still have time
