Welcome to my Soundclick page. This is where all my musical ideas go, finished, unfinished, whatever. I'm primarily a bass player, but also play guitar and piano, and I write a lot of original music on guitar. I listen to a variety of styles, and consequently I write in a variety of different styles. There's a few things up now, some solo, some done with the help of my cousin, but all my work. Story behind the song
This song is about the last 3 minutes of consciousness of a person's life. I originally thought of the title, and was hoping to write something really cool to match it, and one night I hammered out the concept and lyrics. Here is what I wrote then about the song: 'Three minutes to heaven background: 'Three minutes to heaven background: This song chronicles basically a persons last 3 minutes of living consciousness right before death and being lead off to heaven. A person dies in an accident, and slips in and out of consciousness. They are taken from the scene to the hospital where upon arriving they soon die while going into surgery. Their soul is then lead off to heaven, but not before they surveys their loved ones, and finally they are called by God, or another supreme being to heaven, thefinal destination for all eternity. The last verse is the supreme being talking to the person before they are lead through the gates.' This song is basically 1/4 Thrice, 1/4 Scrubs, 1/4 the Fray, and 1/4 Pink Floyd.
