Story behind the song
This is pretty straightforward. Everything in the song is true, and that pretty much sets up the context for the song. My dad just called up one day out of nowhere, and we started talking about shit and we realized that things really weren't that bad between us at all. We had issues, but we still loved each other, so we just had to quit being stubborn and we did. This was in 03'. It's 07' now and things are better now than ever. If you have the opportunity, learn your lesson before it's too late.
