The Youth of America

This would best be described as an emotional hard rock power ballad, a social commentary on today's disaffected youth from Scot
Self-produced rap/rock outfit out of New York city, recorded in a home studio with hardcore rock and rap lyrics and powerful melodies- this is music for the you
These musicians are kinda crazy- they are producers, instrumentalists, singers, and MCs out to create music blending the best aspects of the rebel style of rock and emo with the pure energy of modern rap. It is music that is for the youth of America- and it is peerless. OK so it might not be the best quality but we're just trying our best here, it's all done by computers, guitars, and keyboards

Story behind the song
This song is actually inspired by a journal entry about how my experience relates to so many disaffected youth in this nation. Not to be confused with P.O.D's "Youth of the Nation"
Lyrics
Why must we be cheating in the classrooms that are decieving us The teachers don’t believe in us, there is nothing more to discuss Because we’ve got a point of view and no one wants to take the time to hear it We’ve seen that in this day and age there are so many who’re enraged From so much anger that’s been caged, we just can’t stand to right behave The sanity has gone away from youths who have just gone astray Bridge: We go through so much and it’s too much to handle It gets to a point where our lives come dismantled Our parents never tried to raise us this way We just like to believe everything will be okay But it’s come to this point. We see That everything out there is not what we believe Our feelings have been played with all of our lives Life’s become so useless how can we survive There’s no one to blame but our culture today Chorus (Repeat 2X): We’re the youth of America, why are we so hysterical Why do we have so much to say that doesn’t matter anyway Bridge 2: That’s why I sing this song todaaay Parents don’t want us around, you’ve prolly heard this before now We sing loud and we sing proud. You’ve better get used to it Y’all gotta leave us alone. It won’t feel better when we’re grown Doin what we’re not told to do. You’ll wish you warned us when we’re through We won’t take shit anymore. These words are spoken With the slamming of the door, our trust is broken
