Some Zulu rhymes painting the situation in Road Durban
Hardcore Rap can educate people. Gangsters got love too
Educating, elevating, it's real street hip hop.
All about reality.
Story behind the song
The scene is sad in Point Road Durban City. People are poor and they wanna make money. The trick is, "there are no means". So they use any means available. As a result drugs, prostitution, pimping, and violence have taken over the city.
Government knows people are poor but they still bringing us cheap and bad quality clothing from China. Which means people spend more money on clothing in a long term cos they buy this shit over and over.
The Rhyme is in Zulu though. Enjoy

Usungazum’ emgwaqen’/ ushake isbunu for u50/
Next thing ubax’ lekhona/ umaphuz’ usegcwel’ umugwaqo/
Sis shintsha lekhava/ ori uvele ugcwl’ isiganga/
Athi usisi “ng’yekele nami buti ng’zam’ uk’khand’ icent/
And uyayazi lempil’ / isinkwa naso ses’yabiza
Nale-rent’ iyang’khawatha/ seng’ncamela ighlashaghlasha/

Nokubaba okum’zalayo’ kudakwa yiphilisi/

This is reality/ on Point Road/ in Durban city/
Is this the life or is it a joke?
Cos, officials adosile, futhi adakwe yiCoke
Agqoka ama-coats, KGs and Hugo Boses
Uma ubuza ngetransi, "uhulumeni is paying loses"
f*ck, labantu abathengelwe ama-uniforms
Scooters for amatransi like Chinese in Hong Kong
Ngoba vele bas'lethela amaFong Kong
Umawasha adabuke usefikile muntu ow'lova
Uzothenga uthengile ngiyatshele till non stop
Kodwa imeterial upayi, awucavi ngiyak'thola
Vele uthophe ushiye ePhoyinti
Or uvele ubambi itaxi uvele ushiy' uWorwick
