This Is My Life, This Is My Home

Singer/Songwriter.
Story behind the song
I wrote this during a time when I was a truck loader at a liquor warehouse. Working at that job made me realize how fortunate I was to have all the things I'd been blessed with. It doesn't take much to make you a rich man if you know what really counts. This song is my anthem.

Intro: This is our home, this is our life!!!
This workina€™ week comes to an end, Ia€™m on my way
I wash this dirt off of my hands, and collect my pay
And Ia€™m glad ita€™s over, but ita€™s good to know
That therea€™s a job waiting for me, on Monday Ia€™ve got a place to go
And this is my life, this is my home
It may not be much but Ia€™m never alone
And happiness is all we work for me and my wife
This is our home, this is our life
And ita€™s alright, this feeling inside
Everything Ia€™ve got Ia€™ve earned, Ia€™m a man of pride
And therea€™s someone waiting for me, when I get home
Wea€™ll read the paper watch a little TV, ita€™s nice this quiet time alone
And this is my life, this is my home
It may not be much but Ia€™m never alone
And happiness is all we work for me and my wife
This is our home, this is our life
(LEAD)
(BREAK DOWN WITH OOH LA LA YEAHa€™S)
I love my family, I love my friends
I hold them dear to me and this town we live in
And we always make it through trouble times
We stand together on solid ground
We get our strength from these ties that bind
And this is our life, this is our home
It may not be much but wea€™re never alone
And happiness is all we work for me and my wife
This is our home, this is our life
This is our home, this is our life
