Been playing for over 6 years, writing songs for 4 or so. I did all these on a 4-track cassette recorder over breaks from collegel. Its fun, I should've started doing this earlier, though I'm content with the way things are going. My music has the same DIY sound quality of early Daniel Johnston NMH and Mountain Goats, but with more solos. I spend alot of time crafting my songs and deciding on an order etc... before I commit them to tape in fevered late-night sessions spread over a matter of days. THats the prevailing pattern anyways.
