Story behind the song
I used to perform an Elvis Presley song called "Mystery Train." It was around 1980 when I started working on the concept of "Girls Come Out." I thought it would be cool to have a song that was a modern version of "Mystery Train." There were two popular songs on the radio back then that I liked called "I Love Rock 'n'Roll" by Joan Jett and "Rock This Town" by The Stray Cats. I modeled "Girls Come Out" with those 3 songs in mind.
