Eclectic, intelligent rock-driven tunes with big guitars and more than a hint of electronica give us a sound unlike any other band.
The Strang Quartet formed (officially) in Cambridge UK in 2003, consisting of long-time friends Martin (guitars and vocals) and Julian (drums, keyboards, guitars and production). Our mission statement: to make deep, meaningful, noisy sounds for the delectation of ourselves and others.

Story behind the song
Based on a dream where I was forever driving around a ring road in an anonymous city in permanent night-time, unable to escape.
Lyrics
Drive around the ring road A ring of sodium discharge roses Not sure where I'm headed Not sure where this road goes It all looks so familiar Like I've been here once or twice before Getting there we're getting there we're getting there I've been driving here for years It's funny the night has never ended Concrete rumble fills my head Tail lights stretch into the distance Never stopping never slowing We never stop never really get going Silhouette in the passenger seat Whoever you are you're fast asleep I want to talk I want to scream I want to sleep I want to dream Concrete rumble lullaby Hypnotised by the Cats-eye The signpost sheperds me along I take the exit on the right Something feeling slightly wrong The white lines draw me back inside And here I am again The road without a start or end Red Bull buzz in the green dashboard glow Soporific self-importance on the radio A billion souls stuck at the wheel nowhere to go Watching the needle edge its way to zero We drive past the wreckage, blue light strobing twisted metal Is it my turn soon, my turn soon, my turn soon? And I'm missing you I'm missing you I'm missing you From wherever I am to wherever you are I'll be home sometime when I find my way through And I'm missing you I'm missing you I'm missing you A kiss blown... From whoever I am, to whoever you were
