Story behind the song
I was messing about on a guitar and found an Eastern sounding tuning and then the idea came from that. This song has proved incredibly popular on mp3.com and topped the Europop charts for the UK.
Lyrics
Long ago in the ancient dawn Some travelling musicians really got it on Cowgirls dancing to the tabla beat The air perfumed with incense sweet They all followed after the Lord of the Dance Transcendentally entranced So get ready here's a culture shock Everybody's dancing to the raga rock Don't you worry about the culture shock Just get moving to the raga rock Sitar sounding in the Western town And everybody they come around Old and new in a different way And everyone can have their say Prejudice and fears are blown away And east meets West on that happy day So get ready here's a culture shock Everybody's dancing to the raga rock Don't you worry about the culture shock Just get moving to the raga rock
