Lyrics
here it comes like a wave again white foam caps come crashing in just when you thought you'd breached the reefs undertow pulls you back beneath just when you had seen the shore of a place you'd like to visit more tide grips you back again rolls you up against familiar sand. and you know .. it will always be out of reach or suffocating beneath is this an ongoing theme ? or storyline that defines your place in time. just when you could see the sun and were quite amazed by how bright it shone night fell in, and dark came down black above and all around. just when you could hear a tune of a melody that struck a chord with you the needle reached it's vinyl end scratch around the dust and bends. just when you lead the race establishing a brand new pace. you trip and fall to the back again giving up for your wounds to mend. just when you could feel the breeze a summer wind that put your mind at ease. autumn brings the collar up to your chin bending (bow) your head down one again for... the.... wind. and you know .. it will always be out of reach suffocating beneath is this an ongoing theme ? or storyline that defines your place in time. or will it always elude you?
