A folky number written in February. It needed something - that's where uber-maistro arglebargle (Adam Kirby) came in - his orchestration and production gives this song its shine.

Story behind the song
What was originally a song inspired by birds and their ability to "fly away" from danger became something different. Lyrically, you may find you can relate a bit - we all have times when we want to "fly away".
Lyrics
Verse 1 Close our eyes – if we can’t touch the sky is it real? Close our minds – our fears and mistrust to conceal None alone to be forced by the cold winds of change Our desires to reveal Chorus Fly away Things we will hide – or bury inside Fly away Only our hearts can decide – (where we will fly) Verse 2 Our desire – like a bird on the wing to be free Free to fly to escape to the sky when there’s no guarantee Sometimes seems we are shackled, imprisoned by life And no one holds the key Now we are told to go on We’ll fight the good fight and the dark to dispell When all our endurance is gone Who’ll remember the place where we fell? Verse 3 I believe there is something invisible here And we’re wrong to pretend that our wishes can make it appear All this time something’s holding us back But there’s nothing as strong as our fear JMB Feb 07
