Story behind the song
There has been a lot (7) of elderly people from my home church pass away this past year and It made me think of what kind of attitude I would like to have If my wife and I make it together to our 80's or 90's.
Lyrics
Hey, Hey the well’s gone dry Come on honey now don’t you cry We don’t need no H2O Where me and you are gonna go Hey, Hey the wells gone dry Come on honey now don’t you cry Cause there’s a river that runs right through it And it starts at the Throne Hey, Hey the wells gone dry Come on honey now don’t you cry We’ve shared many years We’ve shared many tears Can’t think of a better way Than to spend my life with you We’ll Drink from the River of Life And never thirst again Hey, Hey the wells gone dry Come on honey now don’t you cry Hey, Hey the wells gone dry Come on honey now don’t you cry We don’t need no H2O Where me and you are gonna go Hey, Hey the wells gone dry Come on honey now don’t you cry Cause there’s a river that runs right through it And it starts at the Throne Hey, Hey the wells gone dry Come on honey now don’t you cry We emerged from the night Started walking in the light You and I can rest assured Of eternity with the LORD We’ll Drink from the River of Life And never thirst again
