I just added a drum track done for me by Soundclick and Sonar Forum member Kayehl (of The Time Being). I think you'll agree his drums beat mine. Also some very slight tweaking of guitars and vocals, all hopefully to the song's benefit. Enjoy!
Everybody and their brother is doing it now: writing, performing and recording at home. I do it, and, in fact, my brother does too. In my case, I play guitar, bass, dabble with keyboards, mandolin, and banjo, and sing. Furthermore, I've even built two my guitars and a bass, that last of which I gave to my brother. I do it all for fun and the love of music, with no commercial aspirations whatsoever.. My gratitude to the people at the Cakewalk Forum for all their valuable advice and criticism.

Lyrics
When she appeared I thought I felt something move in the night And then she spoke My stupid heart burst out of the light But when she moved Shadows shifted just out of sight And then she kissed me Nothing seemed to change, but then it just might......... She wasn't Lucifer, believe me But please hear me, I'm no saint She thought that I'd be her disciple Make me believe things that just ain't Was there no way for me to reach her? Somewhere behind me a door closed. I guess there's nothing I can teach her. I'd be her puppet, she supposed. I watched the moon Rise up behind her to outline her frame I saw the room Dance around me in flickering flame Is this too soon? The look in her eyes said that this was no game My heart ballooned I gave up my soul, but was I to blame? She was no devil now, believe me But please hear me, I'm no saint She wanted me as her disciple Make me believe things that just ain't There was no way for me to reach her Behind me the door closed I know there's nothing I can teach her I'll be her conscience I suppose.
